In loving memory of our beloved Mum and Nanna, Cynthia Lane, who we sadly bid farewell to on Monday 20th January 2025.
Cynthia graced ourselves with her presence for a wonderful 88 years and led a happy, fulfilled life, and never took a day for granted. Cynthia was a modern woman for her time, achieving a successful nursing career spanning almost half a century, working within a variety of settings and specialisms, as well as inspiring future recruits within the family and beyond!
Alongside her fruitful nursing career, Cynthia relished in family life, married to John for 63 years, together they provided their two children Sarah and Stephen, then later their grandchildren Libby, Tom, Oliver and Jonathan, with numerous opportunities and experiences, as well as instilling knowledge and core values. All of whom supported Cynthia within her final years as dementia began to take hold with the help of the fabulous carers at Limegrove Care Home in East Horsley, who provided excellent care and treated Cynthia as a cherished family member - which Cynthia's family and friends will be forever grateful for.
Cynthia will be remembered for her cheeky sense of humour, her love for wearing Christmas jumpers all year around, her kind heart and honesty.
Cynthia/Mum/Nanna has been an integral part of our lives and will be sorely missed.
Cynthia's family welcome tributes on and offline, and they hope that you will be able to join them in a celebration of Cynthia's life on Wednesday 19th February 2025 at 3pm at the Woking Crematorium.
